How are glasses made step by step?
Glasses are made in two parallel streams—frames and lenses—that are later assembled into a finished pair. Frames are shaped from acetate, injected plastic, or metal, while lenses are surfaced, coated, and cut to fit. READSUN runs both workflows in one 20,000 m² plant with 6 production lines and FDA and CE approved processes.

Glasses Made Step by Step: The Full Production Process
- Frame shaping: fronts and temples are made from acetate, injected plastic, or metal.
- Lens surfacing: lens blanks are ground, polished, and given optical power.
- Lens coating: anti-reflective, hard, and tint layers are added.
- Lens cutting: lenses are edged to the exact frame shape.
- Assembly: lenses are mounted with hinges, screws, and nose pads.
- Adjustment: temples and fit are aligned for comfort.
- Final inspection: the pair is checked and packed.
Why an Integrated Plant Matters
When frames and lenses are made under one roof, lead times and quality stay easier to control. READSUN's integrated plant covers about 20,000 m² with 6 production lines, a monthly output near 500,000 pairs, more than 10 years of OEM and ODM experience, and FDA and CE approvals.
